Port Denarau Marina welcomed Tiger V into the marina yesterday afternoon with a traditional ceremony held by South Sea Cruises followed by blessing of the vessel by Rev. Jacob Gutuvakaca. The vessel was launched the sailors way by CEO SSC Brad Rutherford, Tui Lawa and Rev Gutuvakaca. With guests on board, the vessel departed for a sunset cruise to officiate the launch.
After nine years of being Port Denarau Marina Managing Director, Nigel Skeggs said ‘moce mada’ (goodbye in Fijian) to all industry members, stakeholders and guests at a private function held on Friday at Port Denarau Yacht Club. Nigel has been the driver of many developments that you see today at Port Denarau Marina and has been instrumental to the development of the Yachting Industry, MSAF regulations and Sea Mercy (a US and Fiji based non-charity).

The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has announced the first Fish Friendly Marina accreditations in the UAE and the South Pacific. Both Jumeirah Beach Hotel Resort Marina and Port Denarau Marina Fiji were approved as accredited by the MIA Board in early May.
